For the First time in Egypt
Skateimpact.com and Red Bull host the official
International Go Skateboarding Day.
In an energetic and young atmosphere, Skateimpact.com and Red Bull hosted this year’s
Go Skateboarding Day on June 21st 2009 ,One of the world’s largest events where
Skateboarders around the globe celebrate the pure exhilaration,creativity and spirit of
one of the most influencial activities in the world by blowing off all other obligations to
Go skateboarding.
The event took place at Porto Marina, on The North Coast, which is 105 Km from
Alexandria and 240 Km from Cairo.
Despite the long distance, skaterboarders came with friends or even alone to enjoy the
day. Both a helmet and a signed waiver form signed by an adult were required for
skaters to start the fun as Freshpark Ramps Street portable skatepark course were setup.
The “Skate `em all” contest was all about the best trick done over different obstacles.
Points were given to talented skaterboarders according to the style and hardness of the
transition trick on hipped two quarter pipes, best grind/slide trick on funbox/rail and thebest trick off launch ramp.
At the end of the contest; the first top three skaterboarders who dazzled spectators
with their stunning tricks got the prizes.
