3 NEW SPOTS !!!! ( Cairo )
Airport
I found this spot last summer when i was skating near the gap outside the terminal 1 building and i noticed this spot but it was time for me to leave. a few weeks ago i came to this spot again with a couple of skaters, Omar Amir, Mohamed Amgad and Ahmed Maged and we filmed some sick tricks on these gaps. And now the spot is being visited by a lot of skaters in Cairo. The floor is a slippery as butter and from the shininess of the marble platform you can see your face. It has several gaps with decent run up and decent landing. A lot of tricks can be done in this spot. Please take a look at the pictures at the gallery.
Obour Spot
This spot has been around for a while but i happened to just get photos of it a few hours ago. It has a couple of benches that you can grind or possibly manual on them. There’s also another part of this spot where its all gaps and sets and a small but very steap round bank. It also has an 8 set with good runup and good landing aswell. There is also a huge 3 set possible as long as 3 sets from wallenberg but some people might not find the run up enough for them. However i have tried this gap and seems to work fine with me. Here are some pictures of the spot
Bank Skate Spot
This spot is located on the nasr road about 2 mins from tiba, its also very near to the Nasr City Ahly Club.
A lot of people have seen this spot but never really got the chance to skate. I took the risk to be the first to skate and observe the security outcome. It turns out that one of my friends from school happens to live there. I talked to him and asked him if he can ask the securities to allow me to skate the spot. The conclusion ended up being that we can only skate on Friday after 4pm ( to be honest its better than not skating it at all).
The moment u lay your eyes on this spot you will suddenly be confused. This spot looks nothing like any other Egyptian skate spot. It has a lot of steep ledges as shown in the pictures below, the ground is good and you can easily wall ride on those steep ledges/banks. Here’s something for our advanced skaters, next to the ledges there is a 10 set and an 8 set both with enough run-up. There is also a marble ledge with the height of 40cm. All ledges/banks are marble, however you do need to wax the obstacle before doing any grinds/slides.
Add those spots to your guide because they are all very amusing to skate.
